Water Therapy
Experiencing Back pain? Joint Pain? Arthritis? Water therapy often referred to as Aquatic Therapy is designed to help our warriors enhance function and improve the quality of life. Aquatic therapy is a safe complement or alternative to traditional land-based therapy. At Simple Steps, LLC, we operate all Aquatic Therapy services under our scope of practice as Recreational Therapists. Our Therapists incorporate leisure and recreation activities, relaxation exercises, weight-bearing, stretching, walking, and other therapeutic procedures into therapy.
Certified & Licensed Therapist
Throughout the country, health care providers serve in the role of Aquatic Therapists under the umbrella of Aquatic Therapy as defined by the American Medical Association. In short, all Aquatic Therapy services are provided by licensed and/or certified therapists within their scope of practice. Moreover, Aquatic Therapy is often referred to as Pool Therapy, Water Therapy, and/or Aquatic Rehabilitation.
Aquatic Exercise
Aquatic Exercise is a low-impact activity that takes pressure off your bones, joints, and muscles. Water offers a natural resistance environment, which can help strengthen your muscles and improve overall health. The water is an ideal place to exercise throughout the year.
Our team will work with you and your family to determine your level of care and create a program that helps meet your needs and achieve your personal fitness goals. We value our clients and work together to identify and track progress.
In the water, pool exercises can improve agility, balance, and cardiovascular fitness. Many types of conditions greatly benefit from pool exercise, including but not limited to the following:
- arthritis,
- back pain,
- joint pain,
- neurological disorders,
- and/or physical disabilities.
Additionally, water exercise reduces the risk of fall and/or injury as compared to land exercise.
Please note: All participants in our aquatic programming must provide a physician's note before beginning Aquatic Therapy and/or Aquatic Exercise with our team.
